Last month I made blueberry jam. It is very tasty and now we are on the lookout for things to use it with. It is good on biscuits and pancakes, but we want dessert to put it on where it will truly allow the flavors to shine.

Here are five blueberry dessert recipes that we have either made or will try to make in the future.

1. Blueberry Cheesecake

I decided to start with our own recipe. This cheesecake was so good. It was smooth and creamy. The layer of blueberry jam added just enough flavor.

2. Blueberry Jammers

This recipe is from Dorie Greenspan’s book of cookie recipes. We own this book and have used it quite a few times. We have never made a bad cookie from these recipes.

3. Blueberry Lemon Thumbprint Cookies

Thumbprint cookies are made from buttery shortbread. The base pairs well with so many jams and jellies. It really allows the jam to shine.

4. Blueberry Jam Cake Bars

To me these look like the perfect thing to bake with children. They do not have overly complex steps where children would be confused.

5. Cream Puffs With Mascarpone Filling and Blueberry Compote

This is a fancier than what we usually make. It does sound like something we would really like. So I guess we need to learn something new.

Full recipe available here.

Hopefully you will be as inspired as I am by these recipes and pictures.

Hi Joshua, and thanks for the shout out on those cream puffs! Give them a try; I love making recipes that look fab but are easier than you’d guess and cream puffs are one of those!

    Happy cooking!
